About Us :

The society for research on Welfare and Policy (WAP) is a non-profitable association composed of economists, psychologists and other social scientists working on individual well-being, behavior, social welfare and the evaluation of public policy impacts on key societal outcomes.

the objective is threefold:

  • We encourage scientific exchanges in this field,
  • We facilitate international research, comparative work and data collection,
  • We promote and disseminate results from academic research among policy makers, the media and civil society,
  • We conduct evidence-based policy analysis and consultancy using established methodologies.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the WAP Society is held once a year during our Annual Conference. All members are invited to attend the meeting, where an annual report is presented by the Secretary-General and audited accounts are provided. Due to the pandemic, the conference cannot take place and the AGM is postpone to the end of 2020.
