About Us :
The Society for Research on Welfare and Policy (WAP) is a nonprofit association of economists and other social scientists working on wellbeing, behavior, social welfare, and the impact and design of public policies.
The Society has three main objectives:
- To foster independent international scientific exchange in this field, beyond the time horizons and institutional constraints of individual projects and specific funding schemes.
- To promote comparative research and data collection, particularly on welfare and redistributive policies and on the measurement of well-being.
- To encourage the use of both positive and normative research methods and tools to improve policy analysis and support evidence-based policy making.
